Do any other year zx2, contour, focus or other throttle body fit our cars? Wich is best?
regarding stock ford throttle bodies, the zx2 is the best one of the zetec bunch since they all are about the same size and the focus one has some sizable restrictions in it by comparison.
if you can get your hands on a focus central 65mm throttle body, they will bolt up but mods are needed to make the cable linkage and TPS sensor to work.
an easy upgrade to the zx2 TB is grinding off the top half of the throttle shaft and then softening the hard angles with a dremel, then polishing the whole inside of it up. The throttle shaft mod part is good for about a 10% increase in cfm flow and the dremel/polishing another 10%.
