I have been told quite a few times before that the zx2’s tranny is weak. Is there any transmissions that’ll swap out well with the zx2?
Not really for tranny swap takes modification. Some people say weak and some people say there fine. I have had no issues with mine and it has more mods and driven harder than most peoples. Man thing people forget is that don’t spin the wheels on a open diff car.
I have a little over 100,000 miles my car. I attended about 70 autocrosses in a 2 and 1/2 year period. I only have had one problem with the transmission or the differential. That was one time when I hit the rev limiter in 2nd and tried to shift to 3rd gear without using the clutch. I stepped on the brake pedal, not the clutch pedal, and broke the 3-4 shifter fork. YMMV
