I wasn’t with my friend at the time, which sucks, because I would have called the cops. My car was so new that it hadn’t been plated yet.
I shouldn’t have let my friend borrow the car in the first place. She needed to use it because she’d run her car into a tree a week before. I told her if she so much as scratched my car, that I’d have to hurt her. So when she got in the accident, she was just so rattled that she didn’t write down a plate number or call the cops. Her mom is making her pay part of the cost of repairs, since she was driving.
As for the chick who hit me- This has been almost 3 years ago now, but recently I found the info that the chick had given us. For the heck of it, I drove out to the area, and checked every parking lot. In one, I found a blue Ford Tempo with Iowa plates. (My friend didn’t get the number, but did get the state.) And sure enough, on the front bumper, was white paint right where she would have hit my car. I waited for her to come out, and just casually asked her if she’d ever been in an accident. She admitted to hitting my car (she didn’t know it was me) and said that she’d been in several accidents and run from all of them because she doesn’t have insurance. (In Iowa, you don’t need to show proof of insurance to get plates.) When I told her who I was, she started to get all hostile with me. I simply walked away, but a neighbor called the cops. I read in the paper later that she’ll be in jail for a very extended period of time for drug charges and for previous warrants for fleeing the scene of an accident and failure to appear in court.
it’d be nice, but I think I’m gonna leave her alone… I’m already up to my ears in another court battle over a drunk driver who took out my Mazda… I’m gonna get more out of him then I’d ever get from the chick, so I’ll just use all the money towards my Z.
Well at least she is getting hers then:) That is what she gets for being so stupid. That was pretty sweet that you were able to at least confront her though.

Cool, another rare dark grey ZX2. My 18 year old neighbor (she’s hot) just bought a 2003 ZX2 auto with the same color as us. One day I’ll try to talk to her about getting into the performance aspects of the car. She stares at me when I rumble by so its a good chance.
I agree. I really wanted a shadow grey zx2, but I couldn’t find one that I could afford with everything that I wanted. So I got silver:) I still love it. Only thing is its a ATX and I wanted a MTX. But when you need a car you need a car.
