ebrake problem

the cable seems way to hard to pull up and when its fully engaged it dosent do anything the light just comes on

any ideas?

usually overtime the springs that control the e-brake on the drum will wear out…this will cause the e brake to not “grab” the way it should…u can replace these springs. kits are available at places like advance auto or auto zone…you may also want to check to see that your ebrake cable that runs back to the drum isnt rusted out. i think the kits run for around 25bucks and they come with all of the available springs in order to replace the ebrake springs along with the springs that are on both drum brakes.

I found this on teamzx2
