I bought my car in August 2006 as a cheap college car with good economy. At the time it had been previously owned by an elderly couple and was a grocery getter and not much else. It had 35k on it and was in fairly good shape. The options list was small: 14" alloys and atx:mad: I wasn’t concerned in the least about modding, but I got a cd player and some vinyl floormats because my stockers were disgusting. I also thought about getting the factory spoiler, thank God I didnt do that

Late fall I joined teamzx2, looked around some, didn’t really care about any of it and didn’t really become active til early spring. I got 17" rims from a friend, got an iceman from dropt, and visited mac for some leather seats 8)

it should also be noted i drove over a curb(intentionally) and cleared it easily on stock suspension
later on in summer of '07 I got tinted windows, not much else. Fall I bought parts, installed a partial dark charcoal interior from zx2guy, winter 07 I put sr struts and dropzone springs on, didn’t get many pics

stripped and powdercoated my valve cover, installed a superchip and new plugs and ford racing wires, on premium gas i saw over 40 mpg highway

Bought a parts car in April, got it for power windows, power locks, and cruise. I figured it’d plug in, unfortunately said plugs weren’t present on my car, so a whole wiring harness was going to have to be swapped. and so it began

Always liked your car bro. Its clean and love that color. What kind of camera are you using. It is great on close up’s.

the camera is an Olympus Stylus, I think it’s an 830 but I forget at the moment
It has a lot of fancy settings I haven’t used much of, but it has a close up setting and a super close up setting where if it’s more than about 6" from the lens it’s too far away, I used the both for different shots and I think they came out well

Oh i have that on my Kodak C813…not sure how to use that stuff yet…haha I am noob. So is this still your daily driver or fun car?

yea I’m not sure how to work half the stuff on my camera either, I’m just learning as i go(checked and the official name is “Stylus 830 All-Weather”) so I’m repping the camera noob title with pride :sunglasses:
this is my only running car so it’s the fun/daily/roadtrip/college car and I’ve put almost 40k on it in two and a half years(that number surprises me). I got it with 35k on it and now it’s in the low 70k’s

Do the MTX swap now! :slight_smile:. I love the wet carbon fiber hood when it was wet. I saved that as my background. Hope you dont mind!

Does look great even being a daily driver. It should last you awhile as long as you take care of it. Have you thought about doing a mtx swap?

Yeah I’ve thought about it, I already have a B&M I want to upgrade to a TWM, I have a 98 tranny that I want to do a fifth gear swap in, all the various pieces, S/R master cylinder that’ll be right when I put my rear discs on, I’m getting a used centerforce(~1k miles), I’ve paid the deposit for a MFactory LSD, I have NGP0 for the pcm, S/R shift knobs and the 99 look-alike, I’ll use that if I go TWM, ES tranny mounts, ES shifter inserts, probably gonna get a Fiddy as well. I’m a firm believer of doing things right the first time so I don’t have to do it twice :mrgreen:

It was one of the two I’ve had… :lol:

I had an Invader back around a year and a half ago…it was HondaStompers. Since his car is (still) down, I borrowed it and drove around with it on before I added my WW kit. I took it back to him earlier this year and then ended up purchasing Mellow’s CF hood for him and had it on for a week or so until I got it to him.

haha yeah, it was balls cold but foggy for like a week so I wasn’t going to wait
