So if i wanted to paint my Plastic on my dash black, do i need a base coat?
Nope. Unless you want to get rid of the texture look. If thats the case. Apply 3 layers of High Build Primer found at Auto Zone. Once dry, wetsand it w/ 320 then high build it 2 layers and sand w/ 600. Then apply your color.
just wanted to add… for a surface prep you could use an ammonia based cleaner (ie… windex) and wipe off the surface. Just make sure its wiped dry before you put paint down.
