hello I have a question, I started pullin the spare ztec I have apart to prep it for the build up, and was wondering if anyone had ever rebuilt a head. The head apears to have solid lifters, but all the books I have on it say there hydraulic, I was wondering if those solid tappits are select fit and if so how would I go about measuring from the valve to the cam lobe to determine the required thickness. If anyone has gone there before I would appreciate a push in the right direction. thanks

Unless this head is to play around with and be a learning experience and then trash it, have a pro do it.
