There are a ton of them running around Omaha. That gold one I found yesterday and had never seen that spoiler on a gold one. I have talked to 3 people who have this spoiler on their car- All of them have said that the car came stock that way, and between them I have 2 different car dealerships. (wouldn’t that rule out the dealer messing with it?) Also, all of them are ZX2s that say “zx2” in the bumper and have the Escort badge on it just below the taillight.
That’s crazy cool. Definitely not what I thought you were talkin’ about. All Escorts come with the “Escort” badge there…most people just peel it off though. And also, all bumpers have something indented in the bumper. 98-early 99 had “Escort ZX2” and 99 1/2-03 have “ZX2”. It could just be one dealer, or they could be connected, or the one could have just happened to have gotten some used and sold them. Either way…that’s only two you’d have to call so it wouldn’t take all day.

yeah, but one of the dealers is out of buisness now… I talked to another dealership who said that they sold ZX2s like that. He said that they are all 99s. Ford sent them that spoiler and told them to pick random ZX2s off the lot that didn’t have spoiler and put that one on it. He said that he might be able to order one, but doesn’t know for sure. When he looked in the parts computer for “ZX2 spoiler” a bunch of different ones came up. Supposedly they’re all ones that will fit the ZX2 that the body shop can give people as options.

Can you get parts numbers for us? I know its probably going to be an arm and a leg, and maybe half a torso through ford, but Id be interested!

I found it!!! So I looked around at all the junkyards, and no one had one… But then a buddy of mine from the local Mazda dealer called me- it’s the stock spoiler from a Mazda MX-6. You can get them with or without a 3rd brake light. Now that I know what car it’s really from, I go to pick up mine from the junkyard tomorrow and will look to see if there’s any others while I’m out there.

ditto now i have to call j/y"s do you know what year that mx-6 is just a question i think theres a wing like that on a mx-6 in the yard by my house i just want to be 100% before i go get it
it looks a little diffrent in my opinion but it’s very close
I think they look different because of the differences in the rears of the 2 cars. I don’t know the exact year of the MX-6s that they came on- all I know is that it’s off the rounded ones. (There’s a boxy MX-6 too.) My guess is mid-90s. The one I’m pulling my wing from is, I think, a 94. There’s 3 more out in the yard with that spoiler too, but one of them the bolts to hold down the spoiler are badly rusted and stripped (the trunk has been up for like 2 months) and I don’t know if I can get it off. If I can get them all off the cars, then I’ll probably post them up for sale on here. 
From looking at them real quick (I went to the yard at 6:50 and they close at 7) I think only one of them has the 3rd brake light. If you have a specific color you want or if you want one with or without the 3rd brake light, let me know and I’ll try to find one.
I like that first spoiler you posted Angel. I’m not one for spoiler mods, but that one looks sweet. If you find any additonal info on it, let me know.
i can see the simularity’s between the two i just need to find out what year. the cars going in soon (i hope )4 paint and i might get that wing
