Hey guys, I’d like to see pictures of zx2’s with ground control coilovers vs Eibach springs, with 17 inch rims. Im trying to decide which one to get. I am really leaning towards the eibach springs but I dont want much wheel gap in the rear. I say that because Ive seen lowered cars that really didnt look lowered all that much. Thanks to everyone that submits a picture of their ride.

Ultramac, that Z looks sweet. Your using Dropzone springs? I didnt know they made them for ZX2’s. How do they feel ride wise? Whered you find them and how much did they cost? Lastly, how much of a drop did the front and rear springs lower the car? Ironmark, your didnt come out right. I dont see a pic. :?

91-96? So older model escort springs fit our cars? I know our suspension set ups are the same but I thought the amount of weight the springs would hold would be different. Good to know.
The only way to have ajustable coilovers is to use the dynamic suspension kit from ford with 500 pound rear and 300 pound front…most aftermarket adjustable coil springs will just prematurely blown out eibach , progressive, h&r struts…

I may have been miss leading…
I am NOT using CoilOvers…
I am using DropZone lowering springs and S/R struts and camber bolts that were not needed…And the Fanta handles like a GoKart on rails…but yet rides very well for a car with a 2" drop…(not bouncy at all)I attribute this to the spring rate diff from the 91-96 Escort to the 98-03 Escort Zx2…
Ask Mr Hondastomper about the drop and install…He DID it in my garage…
Now please don’t take me as being a dick or harsh in no means am I trying to be this way…
I know there is one other Z with these springs and he loves his also…
I will be glad to answer ANY Q’s about this issue…

I can jack the car up on one side with one jack,the front would/will be up 3-4" and the back 1-2"

Are these the springs you were talking about Ultramac? You said your drop was 2 inches all around butt these say 1.8 inches? Did it turn out to be a two inch rop because the springs were designed for a different model than te zx2?

Thats the ones i just got for the S/R,(may install them and remove the Eibachs).
Not sure yet, still got to do some more restoration on the S/R before I decide to do the swap…
If I do the swap it will be with new S/R struts and the DropZones…Remove and replace type thing,(whole unit replacement)
I can measure the drop…
It just feels like more than 1.8,may not be…These were my first experience with springs…
We(Mr Hondastomper and myself) took stockers off and installed these on the Fanta Z…
I have enuff faith in them to use them on the S/R,if that tells you anything…And I AM NOT a peanut parts kind of individual(some may know what that means)…

Those Dropzones look like a lower drop than the eibachs and a lot cheaper than the ground control coilovers. As of right now thats were Im headed.
