I’m in about the same boat as Sully. My laptop’s takin’ a poo on me too. The CD/DVD drive doesn’t work (Burnt out) and the PCI(?) ports for my wireless card got busted…runs slow… But yeah, the quality will be much better once my friend gets the footage on his computer and then to me. (Better than the webcam I was originally gonna use) I promise it’ll be up, but it’s a matter of time between work and fiance/wedding planning. And him getting me the footage…

Just to be a smart ass foos it’s a PCMCIA slot, not PCI, but close, definately close, I give mad props for the effort. I’m getting better at reminding myself that not everyone is a flippin computer nerd like me.
Yeah, I was talkin’ to my brothers yesterday (after posted) and one is a network engineer and he told me the same thing…I know P, C and I were all in it. lol But yeah, I haven’t heard from my friend about getting the footage yet…if he can’t do it soon, I know my brother’s is set up to capture video onto his computer (I think my friend mentioned his isn’t up right now) so I’ll just do it on my bro’s.

Okay guys, here’s what you do: Buy a capture card on Tiger Direct for $30 or so, connect your 1980’s vhs tape player to the capture card and capture your video in mpeg-2 format. Now you can compress it using mutliple methods such as Windows Movie Maker or Gordian Knot (DivX).
However, I would like to restate that fact that no other videos in the aforementioned post have shown up yet. What a shame…
I would like to restate that the video is on my friend’s camera, and his tv card or whatever doesn’t work. I should ask my bro tomorrow if he’s got the li’l tape to standard VHS adaptor. If not I could always play it off the camera to his laptop…

actually in the process of finding a suitable power adapter for the video camera I fried the DC in port on the JVC VHSC camcorder i borrowed from my friend.
Dead Battery + unusable power supply = no video for you!
im taking it to get looked at today, my video is still stuck in the camera. my friend doesnt know i broke the camera…

I assure you there is a video of MY zx2… a little bit of road racing(not against anyone, just me going fast thru some curves), rally racing on a dirt road(although im not very good at it, and my camera man sucks… coincidentally the camera mans camera is the one thats broken), and I have some straight up exhaust videos my friend revving my car.
I would show you the burn out videos, but im a complete idiot and screwed up the burn outs from lack of having done them before. basically you would just see me burning out my clutch and doing nothing, therefore boring.
so there is a run down of what I have in store, unfortunately until i am able to get the camera fixed im shit outta luck in getting them put online. I cant even get teh tape outta the camera. please be patient, I dont have unlimited funds to pay for repairs on cameras, hence i drive an escort.

HI! I’m up in WI and the car show’s over. It was pretty fun and I FINALLY got an award! I tied for 3rd in class and got the “long distance” award. Anyway…the point is, my bro gave me his camera for the weekend, and after dinner me ‘n’ ZX2MS ‘n’ my fiance are going to take care of the video and since we’re here with a TV card…WE’LL GET IT POSTED!
